Our Mission

Our Mission


With the aim of creating a common institution to promote close acquaintance, collective thinking, initiatives for development, and mutual cooperation among Parbat residents, Parbat Samaj was formally registered at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, on 5th Jestha 2082 B.S. The organization was founded with the participation of representatives from all seven local governments of Parbat district, carrying expectations, enthusiasm, responsibilities, and challenges.

As stated in the preamble of its Directive (2082 B.S.), Parbat Samaj seeks to unite all Parbat residents who have come to Kathmandu Valley for employment, business, studies, or settlement, whether temporarily or permanently. By fostering unity, coordination, and brotherhood, the organization aims to mobilize the skills and expertise gained by its members for the upliftment and development of Parbat district. To achieve this, the Samaj works in collaboration with the Government of Nepal, provincial and local governments, donor agencies, and other governmental and non-governmental bodies. Furthermore, it is committed to preserving social values, culture, traditions, and customs of the district while contributing to balanced development, social harmony, and mutual support. The organization also stands to safeguard the rights and welfare of Parbat residents, extending help in times of both joy and hardship.

The mission of Parbat Samaj are as follows:

  1. To operate as a non-profit, autonomous, non-political, and non-governmental social organization, managing and mobilizing resources systematically for social service.

  2. To coordinate and collaborate with development partners, the Government of Nepal, provincial governments, local bodies, and other organizations to plan, implement, and monitor development programs with transparency and accountability.

  3. To promote goodwill, coordination, brotherhood, and unity among all Parbat residents living in the Kathmandu Valley.

  4. To encourage new ideas and innovative concepts for the development of Parbat and create an environment to implement them.

  5. To unite Parbat residents living in Kathmandu for employment, study, or business—whether permanent or temporary—by promoting friendship, mutual support, and harmony.

  6. To collaborate with Parbat residents living abroad, as well as with associations and institutions connected to Parbat.
